Large Animal & Equine
Typically, we have three large animals vets on duty. Between them, they can comfortably handle small and large animal routine work, and emergencies. Hoof pairing, bovine and equine scanning and AI for mares are just a few of our regular large animal procedures. Once you place your call with us, it will be passed on to the vet in your area or to the one that can take it the soonest. Alternatively, you can bring your animal down to the clinic where we have an on site vet. It is always best to book your call in with us to ensure that there will be a vet available to see your animal and to avoid unnecessary waiting.
The emergency and out of hours (night and bank holiday) cover is provided in house by our three vets. You just ring our office number, 023 8845777, and the call will be diverted to whomever is on duty that night. Please be aware that outside our normal office hours, the vets are available for emergencies only.
Herd tests are booked by Mary, so just phone the office and she will book your test in at a time that suits you and the vet.
