David Smyth M.V.B., M.R.C.V.S
David founded Brookpark in 1990 after qualifying in 1983. It started off as a small office in the town. Eventually, the practice outgrew the building and moved to the beautiful and current premesis that is the old railway station in Dunmanway town. David has a particular interest in equine medicine and surgery.

Denis Kennedy M.V.B., M.R.C.V.S
After qualifying in 1987, Denis worked as a small animal vet in England. He then moved to Limerick for a further 2 years before moving down to West Cork. After working for sometime here, Denis became partner. He has a particular interest in large animal medicine.

Paula Steele M.V.B., M.R.C.V.S
Paula is our newest member. She joined us in February 2010 and does most of the pet clinic and surgery. She is usually on the premisis throughout the day either busy consulting or in surgery. By having a pet vet on site, we are able to deal with emergencies more effeciently and devote more time to our companion animals. She is also doing an additional certificate in specialised small animal medicine. You will, however, sometimes see Paula out on calls and also treating large animals at the clinic.
