Radiography
These are commonly referred to as X-Rays. They are a very useful diagnostic tool as they give a picture of bones and also soft tissues such as muscle inside an animal. Although we do book pets and horses in for x-rays if there is lameness in a limb or we want to check the heart, x-rays are used in emergency situations too. If a dog has just been knocked over or we suspect a broken bone, we can use x-rays at a moments notice to give us a clearer picture of the animal's condition.
