Electrocardiography (ECG)

Facilities

Electrocardiography (ECG)
An ECG gives an electronic picture of the heart's contractions. The animal is connected to the machine by 4 cables, which are attached to the animal's skin. The machine then prints out the reading for the vet to analyse. ECG is used for diagnosing heart problems, but it can also be used to diagnose certain medical problems such as Gastric Dialation and Volvulus (GDV). These are generally booked in after a consultation with a vet.
